The coach he played for in his West Brom youth days before we signed him is now at Villa. Must be behind this transfer surely.

I think this guy has a good future… maybe a slow burner, like Waddle was, but Villa may have struck lucky or shown good judgement.
Hope he does well.

I watch quite a lot of Boro matches and even go to some as I have some Boro fan mates.

They sold two much better young attacking players in the summer, who were on loan at Boro last season and had a much bigger impact than Rogers in Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey.

Generally rate Villas transfer nous but I don’t really understand this one. He’s not anywhere near prem standard from what I’ve seen.

Anyway good for us with the sell on clause.

Can't see why not as otherwise it would just be a sneaky way of getting around paying the other club (us in this instance). They'd quickly find that no one will deal with them if they tried that trick. Most probably covered in the sale contract I'd have thought.
