When I saw the thread title I opened it up , thinking it might get be about that tea drinking hottie that plays for the USA
 
Too much is made of the actual assist when on many occasion the player who has caused the main damage and has assisted the assist is overlooked (see Grealish).Our boy won a penalty,had a fantastic shot saved that rebounded to a teammate and was scored,and he crossed the ball into the penalty box that was initially misjudged but then smashed in by another.

The stats may only show 1 'assist' but they would not have scored 3 goals if it wasn't for Morgan.

Yep David Silva was the king of the ‘assist for the assist’
 
It would be great if he helped them get promoted and then stayed there for next season.

Weird comment to make. He's doing well in league 1 at 18. If he does well in the championship at 19 then why would you sell him? Take him on a preseason tour, see if he's good enough for the first team, get him some league cup appearances and a PL loan if you want serious money from selling him at 20/21.

Maybe but you look who is around the first team now there age you’d think he be still at city training with the first team.

You can't just compare people because they're the same age, every case needs to be looked at on their own merits. In Rogers case a loan to L1 was deemed the best course and so far they've proved correct.

BTW, according to transfermarkt his contract is up this summer.

I would be amazed if we only signed him to a two year contract considering the alleged 4m fee.
