I dont get this anti football, you play to the teams strengths, I think we have slipped into the trap of if a team don't play 40 passes before a goal then its shit, if a team dare to play long balls then it's shit, you win a game by playing to your strengths

It was nearly 20 years ago, long before we were accustomed to seeing 40 passes per game, never mind 40 per goal.

Wanted Portugal to win for the sake of our 3. From our point of view it's better though as we get our players back and after a bit of a rest.
