He was a very clever man who I can't ask anything of on account that he is no longer with us.
He was not actually referring to the autonomy of Falkland islanders,(which he never disputed),but to the way the conflict was orchestrated by both parties for mutual political gain,and shoring up support for two ailing and morally bankrupt regimes.
