Morrissey's New Novel - Out Today....

Morrisey is almost exactly my age.

I can remember when The Smiths came along in 1983ish that he was a bit old for that teenager in a bedroom alienated angst type music.

But good luck to him. He's made a lot of money out of it.

I’ve read his autobiography. I got 2 copies for Christmas so though I better had. I am not a fan and only knew a few things about him although I had a suspicion he was a tit. Having read it he is clearly a naïve and insular knob-head of the highest order. A running theme through the book is how people take either an instant dislike to him or end up alienating him or screwing him over. At some point you would think that maybe he would ask is it me. Doesn’t surprise me that his book is shit and that he has taken no advice at all on it. I won’t read and will eat an extra chicken burger in his name for being a rag.

Can I have your spare copy of the autobiography? ;)

The whole preachy, superior way he rams his views on vegetarianism down peoples throats really pisses me off. We get it, you don't agree with killing, and eating, animals. Guess what, you're in the minority, so shut the fuck up about it all the time and accept that people will have differing views on this and many other issues.

Yeah, He only stopped wearing leather a few years ago himself, but in interviews now he says people who wear leather are as bad as the nazis etc.. Seems a bit of a hypocrite. Or like a student who thinks he is a genius after 2 uni philosophy lectures.

Having grown up giggling in my bedroom to Morrissey lyrics, I think he should have a crack at poetry instead. He's a champion at one liners, and that's what he should stick to. He's far too maladjusted to be opening his mind to writing books.
