I have read their book about the series and basically, Bob’s wife reached out to Paul to help rekindle some hope into his life after his serious illness.
Paul has health issues too and they clicked.

I was drinking in a flat in Crouch End with Paul when Gazza did his Cruff thingy- lovely guy.

I have heard from those that know them that Paul is as he seems - a really funny gregarious guy whilst Bob is 'deep'.

Both, in their own way are comic genius as those that watch Bob on WILTY and Paul on just about anything he does would testify.

They certainly raised the Bar.
Bel his good lady asked wye he made the series but he told her it was crucianl that they finished it.
That really knocked her off her Perch.

A bit of laurel & hardy with George & Lennie ( of mice and men) with their health struggles made a fantastic series wether your into fishing or not , the episode regarding Paul’s mother with the grammar phone singing was so poiniant.

I have really enjoyed each series but think it has now run its course.

I really can't express how sad this comment has made me. Because I agree with it, and didn't want to admit it. I've loved the show so much over past few years but yeh this series has somehow not quite hooked me (yes I know).

The best Christmas Special on tele this year, better than Kevin & Tracey (which was cheesy as fuck) and seriously don’t waste your time on Outnumbered if you haven’t watched it yet (truly woeful!).
