Well we had some poor crowd`s in the Europa league against Juventus . I used to give European games a miss but I love them now . We should be excited where in the champions league .

We haven't really had any European games in recent years that have sparked much excitement. Hamburg was probably one that caught the imagination but even then we were knocked out.

We really do need a big tie with a dramatic win to get fans interested in European games. To get people to regret that they missed a classic. People laugh a Liverpool and United fans for going on about "big European nights". But until we enjoy the same sort of experiences the attitude of many fans to CL games will remain lukewarm.

Get through to the knock out stages and beat Barca 4-3 on aggregate and the attitude of City fans to the CL will be transformed.

Agreed the champs lge does, nt feel like a cup competition till the knockout stages think the games in the knockout stages will be sellouts if we make it.

Potentially reach the knockout stages for the first time?

I'm there.

Leaving work in a little while so I have time to get up the M6, watch the fireworks and treat myself to some of Jamie Oliver's finest.

Can't understand why people wouldn't wanna be here tonight. Not one bit.

To be honest I think the CL is a load of bollocks, can never see myself being as excited playing some Euro team as I get for the derby. I will be going tonight btw.

Likkle City lives and breathes.

You cannot blame the club for the pricing, it has probably been set by City at a level where they feel that they will get the max revenue and in these FFP times it is fully understandable.
Quick maths for a 35k crowd at £30 = £1,050,000 revenue. If they did tickets at £20 and got a 45,000 crowd this would only bring in £900,000. OK the extra 10,000 would spend a few ££ on pies, programmes etc but it is not going to make up the difference.

Without FFP I fully believe pricing would be set at a level aimed to selling out every game.

I've never really understood the obsession with attendances. I'll be there tonight and am looking forward to it, but I don't care how many others turn up. If people choose not to go, that's their prerogative.

I'm too embarrassed to be able to help.

See you in the Knockout phases
Yeah don't worry about that. I'm always there for the big games :-)

Let's hope
We get a big enough side for you,
It's not raining
It's not a school night
The traffic's not bad
The tickets are £3.00 for two
The beers £2.50 a pint
The food's half price
It's not the wife's birthday
......
.....

:-)

I love champions league nights.
I've waited years for us to be competing with the top teams in Europe and now we are here it's a great feeling.

I loved the uefa cup and Europa league games we had.
The atmosphere was good and I think that was down to the fact that you ony got people going to them games that wanted to be there, and were there to make an atmosphere and banter.
No JCL's and the "sit down I can't see/Stop shouting and swearing" brigade.
That's when our fans our at our best. "The 'Alan' game" against Salzburg springs to mind.
It was fucking freezing that night but the atmosphere was great, we had a laugh and it was a top night.
"If you're watching on the telly you're a......" :p

Got my mate with work who's a geordie coming now, at least it's one more ticket bought and another seat filled. Plus he likes City as a club so good on him.
