Been away just under two.weeks now and as usual I'm getting bitten everyday/night.Iv used all the repellants but this trip they seem to be doing little.
A spray I have used in the past to use to stop the unbearable itching just hasn't helped me this trip,it normally doea but not this time,Iv used all my inlaw local stuff but nowt helps, any advice/ help much appreciated

mosquitoes can not only smell our sweat, studies show they're attracted to the lactic acid and ammonia found in it. Therefore, the more you sweat — whether you naturally sweat excessively or you have just finished exercising — the more attractive you may be to mosquitoes

Im getting all my bites though at night ( i know they feed in the main at night ) while in aircon and not sweating, I eat garlic in large amounts especially here, thats supposed to stop.them,im taking anti histamines, using repellant, using after bite spray.

I hate the fuckers,i had malaria way back in 1993 and nearly died because of them.

i've been lucky re bites, i have had them and they are fucking horrible, cant imagine what loads of them would be like,i once found one on my daughters cheek when she was 10 months old, we were in mexico, i pinched the fucker (mozzie not dortz :)and there was quite a bit of blood(probably from my daughter) the horrible fuckers.

I rarely get bothered by them but then I'm an expert at number 6 in this list ...

Don't use perfume/aftershave/fancy soap/shampoo. Drink lots of booze.

yeah, but its when you're out and about during the evening or early morning, they bite anytime though .
Where abouts are/were you? Spent 11 years in India (Jan/Feb time), and this year was in Thailand - I always use the local repellent (Odomos in India, and can get in UK) and then also use Avons Skin so Soft as another layer (the one that contains Jojoba) as well - seems to work for me.

I attract mozzies too, but found the cheap plastic wristbands (citronella ?) actually help. Plus I’ve learnt to wear long sleeved shirts and jeans/linen strides rather than tee shirts and shorts in the evenings so the little bastards can’t get at you. Seems to work with plenty of repellent on your hands and ankles. Last few years doing this been okay but used to get eaten alive.
