Most exciting City player ever

I see quite a few have mentioned David Silva.

I wouldn’t describe David as an exciting player. Probably the classiest most consistent player we’ve ever had but his game was all about calmness and coolness, almost the opposite to excitement.

Exciting players are often erratic and are the sort of players who’ll take players on, run at pace, and blast shots at goal as well as losing possession a lot and blasting some of those shots into Row Z.

I’d describe Cancelo, Sané, Wright-Phillips, Kinkladze, Haaland, Tevez, de Bruyne, Yaya, Agüero, Foden as exciting players.

Our most exciting? For me would be when Yaya went on one of those runs from deep in midfield right up to the opposition box.
Still Spanish Dave.

Michael Johnson, Adam Johnson, Nicolas Anelka, Paulo Wanchope, Stevan Jovetic, John Guidetti was some that did have a good hype.

The sort of players who move you to the edge of your seat because they’re playing on the edge of manicness. David Silva was more of a player who made you sit back in comfort nodding your head at how good he was rather than getting you on the edge of your seat.

That run of Yaya against Westham and he almost repeat it against Real Madrid.
Was something else!

Not the most exciting ever but, like others, the first player I remember always being excited when he received the ball was Peter Barnes. To a small boy there was always something magical about a winger attacking a defender and doing him with a drop of his shoulder and quick feet. Whilst I do remember Buzzer my memories are not as vivid.

Most exciting transfer we ever had, with hype and expectation?

Has to be hands down

Robinho

The transfer came shortly after the takeover and every fan in the world expected magic in the premier league when he arrived.

The transfer would be like Newcastle signing Neymar in the window.

If we are talking about most exciting city player to play football, then for me it was Aguero. We can judge haaland in a season or two
