Michael Ballack.

And currently Petr Cech. A mistake a game

Ballack has been one of the best players this decade. He was immense for Bayer Leverkusen, and played a key role in them reaching the Champions League final, also his contributions for Bayern and Germany. I think the problem is he's come to late into England. If he came when he was younger, I'm sure he would have lit up this League.

Cech has never been the same since his head injury. I wouldn't say he's overrated as his mistakes are always widely noted nowadays.

ye i agree, cech isnt overrated now. he makes too many mistakes and everyone knows about it now which is why he now is hardly mentioned anymore when people talk about the best keepers in the world.

That is the problem. The press seem to go into raptures when he does, without sometimes realising that he can be anonymous for many games.

Carried the shite on his own this season. Without him they would be seriously fucked. Hes the only world class attack minded player they have. I dont think he can be called overrated. Every time he has a quiet game its highlighted, but fernando torres has a quiet game every time he steps on a football pitch. He is the most annonymous player on the pitch, til he gets one chance, and sticks it in the net, yet Torres the best striker in the world. The point is Torres is judged on goals, when Rooney plays well, he dominates football matches, yet if your judging him as a striker, then his goals return cant be argued with this season. Just think that hes a striker who gives everything hes got into every single game he plays, and we're going to really need him on form at the world cup to stand any chance.
