Most overrated player in the Premier League history

What about Wayne Rooney. Great player, but you'd think he was God, the way the media carry on. A case in point, Talk Shite are having a phone in about whether he is the best in the world. How come every time he as a half decent game, they break their necks to convince us he is Jesus.

Steve "The human compass" McManamon has to be one of the most overated players ever. Giggs has been a consistant pro I guess, but isnt as good as all the rags and press say.

Take your pick from those 2 I guess.

Robinho , not been given much chance at the mo.
Ronaldo, I can see why people say he is over rated as he isnt a patch on Messi. But he is a top top player no doubt.
 
Cantona. Shit in Europe, shit at international level. Scored good goals against shite teams when the rags were already 3 or 4 nill up. Retired young when realised he'd been found out in Europe and the Premier League was bringing in proper class such as Bergkamp.

There are people who genuinely put him in the same league as Cruyff, Van Basten, Zidane etc and it's all because of the Stretford PR machine. If Kinkladze had been playing in the best side in the league in 1993 against the likes of Ipswich Town and Swindon he would have been ten times the player Cantona ever was.

Ballack has been one of the best players this decade. He was immense for Bayer Leverkusen, and played a key role in them reaching the Champions League final, also his contributions for Bayern and Germany. I think the problem is he's come to late into England. If he came when he was younger, I'm sure he would have lit up this League.

Cech has never been the same since his head injury. I wouldn't say he's overrated as his mistakes are always widely noted nowadays.
