Would have to be Brian Horton for me, definitely my favorate City boss pre-takeover.... managed to keep an ailing side up during his first season against what must have been a really difficult backdrop of the Swales-Lee takeover battle, used what little money he had reasonably well, (Kernaghan apart, but think of Rosler, Walsh, Beagrie et al) and had the boldness to widen the pitch and play an all-out-attack 4-2-4 at home which led to great football after 3-seasons of the Reid/Ellis long-ball to big Quinny so-called 'football' we had endured. For me the underrated man ever to take the City hot-seat and one who, in hindsight, punched above his weight.
