I reckon it all boils down to jealousy.... we actually have owners that are building a club for the future not just throwing money at.
Are we the only club to throw money at a team - no and we won't be the last. I reckon the manner in which our fantastic owners have gone about it has actually angered a lot of people.

I think its quite clear that MOTD has a set script to follow. The punditry on that show are just like the typical gutter press. They use whatever footage of the match they can find and take it out of context to suit their views.
I mean for Shearer to claim that we did not take Villa seriously despite having nearly 30 shots and 70% possession as well as playing midweek is baffling. Even more so that he uses a few misplaced passes to back that view up. It's almost like he ignored the rest of the game.
Savage's opinion was just lazy. Everyone who has watched us this season knows we have conceded a large proportion of goals from the counter attack. However, Fernando's introduction nullified that threat today. I'd prefer a pundit to at least acknowledge this and give praise and criticism in equal measure.
The time to slate us about being poor against counter attacking teams and not taking teams seriously was against Stoke at home. The fact we clearly learnt from that game and dominated Villa meant that the pundits should have looked at the positives.
What I will point out is the difference it quality of pundit between Sky and the BBC. I know a lot of people on here are anti-Sky but the likes of Neville, Souness and Carragher are a million times better than Shearer and Savage.

Wasn't Shearer also the one who said Balotelli hadn't won anything yet despite having won the CL, Serie A, PL and FA cup?

Shearer's analysis sums up British football to be honest.
They spend 5 mins telling us how hard Hurrenderson works and how much running he does, but totally ignore Silva's performance.
Could you imagine Spanish tv, saying "look how much he runs. Look how hard he works, he really is amazing."
Kids should be told that Silva is the player to model themselves on, not someone who just bloody runs a lot!
