MOTD

Re: alan hanson

What I will never forget is that his money works out at 40k per show! He earns more than most of the players in the Premier League!

Re: alan hanson

he is right, we are the best in the world, going forward. we scored more goals than any other team in europe. we've been the best for some time now.

Hansen was also wearing a light blue shirt. Call me cynical, but I wonder if Hansen wearing that and praising City was the result of him losing a bet. Lineker asking him to repeat that City were the best team in the world just adds to my suspicions.

Re: alan hanson

First post here...

...almost fell off my chair when he said that.

But fair play to Hansen...it is extraordinary what we are seeing right now. He's the first pundit to acknowledge it.

I

MOTD commentator madethe correct call about the "offside" goal (Adebayor offside, for a change, and active, unusually!) - pity those BT wallies couldn't see the bleedin obvious.

I never thought I'd say this but I love fat Sam - and to be honest the bloke looks as though he's lost a few pounds - onwards and upwards...............

BT said they asked the assistant at half-time and he said he gave Dawson offside (which he wasn't though it was close) so concentrated on that rather than whether Adebayor was interfering with an opponent (by preventing Joe getting to the cross) or actually headed the ball. In fact it took Tim Sherwood to say Adebayor touched it - so he was offside from the free kick and Dawson was offside from his header! Pen - contact with man before ball but reckless anyway. Try and get the ball from two yards behind your opponent is a gamble - good job assistant had the bottle that Marriner didn't.
