MOTD

My manager at work who is a Newcastle fan said he noticed on BT's coverage how anti- City Owen was. Also said that everytime he heard him speak last night it reminded him of Zippy from Rainbow.

Owen is that skin.

A couple of weeks ago some of you on this thread had a go at a poster for 'writing' in to MOTD and complaining about Hanson, for a laugh I copied him and complained as well. We both got stick. (arsed)

Maybe, just maybe it was that that made the miserable git change his tune ?

Just sayin'

you are right it needed saying, "best team on the planet" 8-)

the OTT twunt

But we haven't got out of the anti-City Ancient Dipper which planet he was thinking of!!

Oooo, I dunno, OP.

MOTD pisses me off sometimes, but I'd miss the hell out of it, if it was dropped from the channel. Football is about opinions, and using stats and data (numbers or visual reception) to back up those opinions. The pundits do this, and they might talk shit a lot, but I love it.

Love MOTD. Will always feel a little boost of energy when I hear that theme music start playing. Will always try to catch it, even if City aren't on.

If people don't like MOTD then why watch it?

They don't have the time like sky to go into details as much as they and do a good a job as possible with the time available.

I actually don't think Hansen is biased. He has always focused more on teams defensive 'mistakes.' I remember people doing jokes and mentioning how cynical he was in the 90's. It's just what he does.

Even if he does hate City, so what? Does it make you lose sleep at night? Not everyone has to take their todger out and have a furtive jostle over the City badge!!

Haha, fuckin joker.

Respect, though :D

EDIT: Fans are a joke, sometimes. MOTD is like, the best programme on TV, and people want it off the air, because certain pundits love it when we lose. Haha, some of us need to man the hell up.

We need a current word from the NornIron slug. "Manchester City? Champions League? Don't make me laugh!"

Well. we're all having a fuckin' laugh now, yer slimy cane toad!

That was Alan Green during a radio commentary I think.

He really is an obnoxious, self opinionated oaf of the highest order. It would be fantastic if someone had a recording of him saying that and played it back to him on air, and asked him if he was laughing now.
That and a GPC "not in my lifetime"

Has anybody ever asked him about that statement?

Even his twitter name has an air of arrogance

''Mr Hammer, I'd like you to meet Mr Nailhead.
Mr Nailhead, this is Mr Hammer''

I don't get this "if you don't like it don't watch it" attitude. Its the main free to air coverage of premier league football and in many ways it shapes the way our club is seen to the general football supporting public around the world.

Rather than bury my head in the sand I prefer to know what media organisations say about the club. Good and bad.

And if they say something I don't like I really don't see the problem with discussing it on here.

This show is a disgrace. I have just watched a recording of last night bile. The so called pundits have just said that Liverpool are favourites to get fourth spot. Can Hansen not read a script ? Is Linekar so stupid he doesn't know that wee Davey has signed the one missing piece of the jigsaw. I think I will write in and complain again.

I thought they made it out as if Chelsea battered us which wasn't the case. They stretched us on the break a few times but Cech made two great saves and we also missed three or four good chances. This without our first choice midfield or main striker and a couple of players carrying injuries.

This wasn't some Jose masterplan as people are saying, the way we play most teams can get at us on the break and have, it is just Chelsea have better players than most.

Stats suggest we had massive possession and our finishing was off - But Chelsea were clinical, organised, they knew our weaknesses and exposed them, we were all over the place at times when Chelsea counter-attacked ....

Yes we were at times but this is the way we are set up,all out attck so leaving us open to such.So far we have mainly got away with it by outscoring the opposition but when we misfire and have a few injuries we are likely to come unstuck.

I can't argue with Pellegrini's tactics it has served us well so far and i have seen some of the best football i have ever seen at City but for some games he just has to alter it a bit and last night was one of those games.Barcelona will be another,i dread to think what will happen with Messi and co if we play that open!

You don't need to think too hard. They will hammer us. I can't see how we can win that game with no Aguero and no Fernandinho and if he plays 2 up front again then we will be out after the first leg.

I think Hart will be backed to the hilt tonight, they'd done their 'he's shit' bit when he had his bad spell, but I think the talk will will and should all about Boyd cheating and spitting.

It's disgraceful, he is a good player, I can see that. Composed and clever...just not clever enough
