MOTD

Anyone else notice.....

Not a single mention, not an iota of analysis about the Gerrard fuck up for the first goal. It wasn't even shown again in the analysis. That my friends is wrong, very wrong. any other player and they'd have been all over it.
Does it matter?

Double standards or not, it still happened and we're still back in the title race.

Yep does anyone have a top 4 head to head stats? I imagine Chelsea top this?

They have thrown away games similar to us ie villa/sunderland
Chelsea P6 W5 D1 L0 Pts16
City P6 W2 D1 L3 Pts7
Liverpool P6 W2 D0 L4 Pts6
Arsenal P6 W1 D2 L3 Pts3

Cheers, quite staggering that really.

I know Chelsea may still win it but think its fair to say its unlikely but with a record like that against teams competing directly against it shows you how much the consistency against the teams lower in the table really counts.

Thing is, I think Chelsea had an even better record in his first spell at the club, so this year is nothing unusual. If you compare their record in the intervening years, you appreciate how good he is against the supposedly top teams.

Dowd is idiot.

That was an impressive mess of a decision even for him.

What I don't understand about that decision is if Wickham would have scored that advantage, would Dowd of sent off the Cardiff player?

You are playing a very dangerous game...trying to get into Phil Dowds head!!!

Bloody Sunderland look like they are staying to take more points of us next season too.

It was a sending off but should have been a free kick, probably needed his assistants help with that one.

No, it's a penalty. Doesn't matter if it starts outside the area if it continues inside. As it did.

Letter of the law he got it spot on.

No. Booking as he didn't deny the obvious goalscoring opportunity.

Red card was spot on. Penalty was debatable, it's difficult to see when he stops pulling him back, but that view that would clear it up is exactly the view the linesman would have had.

He let that advantage for too much for me.

That is the main issue.....how long should you let it go on....on one side of it, Wickham almost caused the issue by not hitting the deck...imagine What Suarez would have done.

So realistically it would have been in Cardiff's best interests to just let Wickham walk the ball in then.

Well don't foul him. That is the general idea isn't it?

I'd forgotten about Zahahaha.

I watched the entire Sunderland match and I didn't even realise he was playing until I just saw that on MOTD.
