I rang my mam today about something else and she has informed me it's mother's day;it's a different day out here.
It was a bit of a difficult conversation,I wished I'd seen this thread beforehand.

Lost my mum 12 years ago now, and lost both my grandma's in the last 12 months, so today is gonna be a tough one, but I'll be raising a glass to them all!

Love my mum to bits but won't be seeing her as she doesn't want anything to do with myself or my sister, incredibly sad but she has done her best to distance us for her new partner for some odd reason that neither myself or sister can understand so going to spend the afternoon walking with my mother in law who despite her few annoyances is a wonderful woman!

Sadly my mum dotes on her first born but has never been that interested in the rest of us so we have little contact with her despite trying our best to stay in touch
