Motorbikes

Good time to buy a bike but not a good time of year to ride one.As an inexperienced biker you should work your way up. Winter is a suicidal time to move up to a big bike. If you can afford to , buy the bigger bike now as itll be cheaper than in spring. But stick on your smaller bike thru the winter to get more experience.

Very good advice Mr Dale.
I did exactly this bought at Z250 but after only a few weeks wanted something much more powerful. Winter is a woman for bikes and comming off at 50mph doesn't make any difference whether your on a Honda c90 or a fireblade. 50 is 50 if you survive, the only difference is the cost of repairs to the bike.
As the above poster said get you confidence up. Too many idiot motorist who can't judge the speed of a motorbike.
Anyway I no longer ride anymore I was too much of a speed addict. Thought better off in the car after a few very near collisions with buses and volvos.

I'm thinking of putting in for my CBT and getting a 125cc bike . Just wondered if any other blues are bikers and have any tips for a first bike ?? Cheers

Good luck and make sure you sign a donor card before you start biking.
And a box

Why would he need to sign a box?

This is the one you want, best bike i have ever had, tours, scratches. commutes, comfy for miles, and still looks the mutts nuts despite being nearly 10 years old.

You can pick up a good low mileage one for a couple of grand at the moment...

Just got back in from blowing the cobwebs off round Chelford / Holmes Chapel / Knutsford way. Still grinning now :)

I have a Suzuki 750 Intruder, agree with woodhouse, don't bother with a 125, you'll soon want something bigger. I started off with a Honda 550 nighthawk, that didn't last long. My next bike will be a Harley.

EEEEK!!
Nooooooo!

Had one of them when they very first came out with rear pegs on the swinging arm. Had ordered a Suzuki T500 from Sports Motorcycles in Manchester but delivery time was months so cancelled and got a brand new CB400F from Fosters in Chorlton for £669.

Well seeing as though I have an imitation one now, I might as well get the real thing. At least it will hold it's value.

Imperial measurements and seriously, seriously expensive parts.
