Mourinho 3 Champions League Medals

Sometimes this Forum is just hilarious. The idea that fans of a football club that has won bugger all for over thirty years would turn their noses up at the best young manager in world football on the night of one of his best achievements just beggars belief, it really does. Anti football? A cheat?. His team has just played for over an hour with ten men, because a Barcelona player 'cheated' and got one of his players sent off for next to nothing, they produce a fantastic text book display of how to defend against top quality opposition with ten men, and all he gets is abuse. You really could not make it up. It couldn't be that you people have a not so hidden agenda could it?

Why have so many City fans got this idea that if we want Mourinho we can have him?

The rules say Tiago should have been sent off. Busquets diving should have made no difference to the decision, a hand-off above the chin is a red card, below the chin is a yellow so he'd have gone anyway.

You don't knock Barca out with ten men by cheating. The guy is a tactical genius and would be the most important signing in our club's history should we ever persuade him to come here.

If you don't want him here you don't know a winner when you see one and he's the best.

The object is to win.

Not in my eyes it's not. The object is enjoyment. That's why football was created, for enjoyment. Winning goes a long way to helping you enjoy the game but I would hate to see City dragged to levels we have seen Inter go to tonight just to win a game. Mourinho would do that, he does whatever it takes to win, at any cost, for me, some things are more important.

You're exagerrating.

Yeah, our agenda is deep down we don't want to win anything, we love the misery.

Or maybe it's because we think we already have a good enough manager in charge of us?

This has nothing to do with City fans wanting Mourinho. It's to do with City fans failing to give the man the credit he deserves because of some pathetic desire to be proved right in some pathetic Internet argument about who the better manager is Mancini or Mourinho. As for Busquets, are you seriously suggesting that him hitting the deck as if he'd been shot had no impact on the referees decision? If that's the case, why did he do it?

Look United who have dominated England for near on 20 years have won precisely two Champions Leagues with a bloke that most people think can manage. He also plays reasonably entertaining football.

Mournho might win us the champions league, he might not. But frankly it would be dull and contraversial all the way.

He is special, no doubt. But not a City please.

The best in the business and it would only accelerate our progress if we could get him.

Just asked an Inter fan what he thinks of Mancini, got the reply "He built this team and we're forever grateful".

How many Champions League finals did Mancini get to with 'his' team?

You'd soon get board of winning if you had to put up with Mourinho's dour style of football week in, week out. Supporters of every club he's managed voice the same opinion.

But... We've gone so long without silverware I think I'd initially sacrifice style for substance.
