Mourinho or Mancini

As an aside both were vociferous supporters of the totally out of his depth Hughes which suggests that they are not quite as savvy as they think they are.

You keep repeating the same lie over and over and eventually you'll convince a few people it's true.

Around Christmas of his second season in charge it became fairly obvious Hughes was not up to it. But DD thought he should be given more time etc

Maybe you didn't although the post someone put up last night suggested you thought Hughes was pretty capable and in a difficult position with the whole media world against him.
Unless that post was doctored I stand by what I said.

How many times do you need to be told?

I wanted Hughes out from long before he went. I didn't rate him at all.

The first negative post was yours, you called him a fool.

You can post what you like if you extend me the same courtesy. Your appreciation of Mancini doesn't make me think you're a prick or an idiot ... makes me think you're a Blue who supports the manager. That's something to be praised not ridiculed. However if you were to be critical of him (as you are of Balotelli for example), I'd respect your right to do that and I'd try and argue against you if I disagreed with you or agree with you if that was the case. My point is simply that these Mancini threads have become very very personal. I take my share of responsibility for that, but I think a few on the other side of the fence, yeah that includes you mate, need to also look at their own behaviour. Last night I took a ban when one wasn't warranted IMO. The fact I got banned yet everyone who was giving me shit was entitled to continue doing so is a double standard.

How many times do I have to tell you this before the truth sinks in?

I thought Hughes was fucking rubbish and I said so on this forum many times.

Truth is, Billy and I make people like you uncomfortable ;-)

This is a prime example of what I am saying. "people like you". What the hell does that mean?

The inference here is that we are inferior.

I have called you condescending, arrogant etc in the past, all things that are quite obvious from the way you post. But I would never suggest that you are somehow inferior.

Genuine question for Billy and the others who dislike Mancini.

Did winning the cup and the league feel tainted (or perhaps joy diluted, I'm trying to pick my words carefully here as it is not my intention to be inflammatory) or could you separate what I would have thought would be conflicting emotions?

Obviously joy at winning I would think but given that it was achieved with Mancini at the helm....

Of course it wasn't tainted and the joy wasn't diluted. I've been asked that before and it just seems a weird notion that it ever would be. The overwhelmingly vast majority on this forum thought Tevez was a **** last season and gave him dogs abuse on here. When he came back and helped fired us to the league I'm sure they didn't feel the title was tainted because of Tevez's presence.

People take what is said on the forum about Mancini in particular, way too personally. There's no way that anyone would bat an eyelid if someone posted about Balotelli "i can't stand him", in fact there'd be a raft of people agreeing with that opinion. Same with Tevez. Yet when it comes to Mancini people want a different set of rules.

Maybe by "people like you" he merely means people who are prepared to post what he feels is false information about him or people who disagree with him. It doesn't necessarily mean he is saying you or anyone else is inferior, I think that is something you have read into it.

Balo & mancini are two totally dif situations ,i guess thats another argument
Tbh billy i think the mods may have done you a favour and took you away from the thread for the night,as it was getting out of hand
Last night i said your comment about mancini was a disgrace and called you a halfwit,i wouldnt say it was that personal.

Cheers for prompt and open response. Not looking for a different set of rules, just curious as I've just read the last few pages of this thread and the thought popped into my head.

For the record I was a big Tevez outer but time being a great healer I went with the idea that everyone deserves a second chance and so welcomed him back into fold and I certainly didn't feel the league win was tainted. The only difference I can see with that is that I changed my mind and your stance on Mancini is more intransigent it seems, hence the question.

I noticed you avoided the key point, which is that you keep saying I was a Hughes supporter, when I didn't rate him. Any chance you could acknowledge that particular lie?

By "people like you" I mean the 10 or 12 posters including you who continually harangue me on the forum, whenever I post. who said anything about "inferior" - apart from you ;-)

The ban was overturned ... or should I say turned into an hour long ban ... so I could've posted again last night. I didn't because I wanted to sleep on it before posting.

When I said that things have gotten way too personal I didn't mean what you posted last night, but in general the goading and piss taking on both sides. After all you can't really expect to constantly bump a thread about Mourinho and then not have those guys who really rate him higher than Mancini comment on it ? Then when they do comment it gives you more ammunition to go "see you're a disgrace" or "you're not being fair on Mancini" or some other words to that effect.

You seem to want to have your cake and eat it IMO ...
