Oh and the small matter of a top quality manager to oversee that.

My thoughts exactly. As much as PEG had poor results, the Rags have effectively set themselves further backwards. Idk what hole does Woodward think from, but the club seems to think their current squad is good enough to challenge on all fronts, and PEG is the culprit that failed to bring the best out of them.

Carrick is being called "Temporary Interim Manager"? Just sums them up - they are not a club they are a financial institution where everybody has a job title and everyone sets great store by their title - I have this on good authority from the Temporary Acting Head of Toilet Roll Purchasing at the swamp too.

Blanc is the name that makes the most sense to me. Pretty big name, experience at the top level, but probably prepared to just take a short term deal and hope he gets offered a longer one if he does well.
