Mouriniho in the summer???

I think this is a done deal and for me we should have kept Hughes till the summer and then gone all out for JM rather than install Mancini as a 6 month contract stop gap.
That must have been the plan but I know for sure that something happened. My assumption is that there was a showdown and they had to get Mancini in quickly.

Neil Warnock IN.

End Of Thread.

You must be joking? What makes you think he can get the results we need?

As a side note am I the only one that would have Rafa here?

point 1. whoooosh.

point 2. all attempt at credibility out of the window, would rather have Warnock than the buffoon.

You think they made Hughes aware of their intentions? Sounds unlikely PB........

No I think Hughes found out they were talking to people (Hiddink's agent confirmed they'd approached him a couple of days before) and he's not the sort of person to stand by and shrug his shoulders. He was supposedly prepared to walk out over Thaksin selling Ireland to Sunderland behind his back not long after he took the job.

Cook has already admitted that MH had come to see him a couple of weeks before about rumours that they were talking to other managers so it doesn't take a great leap of imagination to postulate that Cook denied it or played it down, then Hughes finds out he's not telling the truth. A big row then ensues (back me or sack me), club have to make a decision so they quickly speak to Mancini who is prepared to come in for 6 months. This means they can call Hughes' bluff and let him walk.

That's not so unlikely is it?

Warnocks record is there in black and white, it does not come close to Rafa in any way.

Look at the facts he is a promotion manager who wins low level cups.

Not at all. Entirely plausible. I just wonder when conversations with JM might have started. I have no doubt that we have sounded him out and received sufficient encouragement to put the 6 month clause into Mancini's gig.
