even between stands........you're not famous anymore, give us a song, we are the kippax etc etcUnited boys abandoned the Stretford End in the mid 70s for the Scoreboard Paddock later they located to K stand, to bait away fans. All I have heard lately is how quiet OT is for most games. Lots of Liverpool boys moved into the Anfield Rd end pre and post segregation. At Elland Rd the Gelldard End was abandoned in favour of the south stand. The common denominator in all cases was the wish to confront away fans. Myself I always think a packed loud away end makes for a great atmosphere in the home stands. We had a number of boys who left the Kippax in the early 80s for the Platt Lane, they caused so much havoc that GMP insisted it be made an away stand only. For many footy will always be about confrontation. In short " boys will be boys".
Love a bit of tribalism me.
When we moved from Maine Road they shifted the away fans to the south stand.....every fucker moved to the south stand and kippax corner.
