Moving to Manchester tomorrow.

Welcome to Manchester!! I'm at Manc Uni too, so if you need to know anything just ask. Footage is best for you if you are living near there, at least until you get to know the city more, plus you will probably meet some fellow student blues, or at least students haha!

Are you bothering with a tv license if your in the halls? My stepdaughter moved in today and I know legally you need one. I don't know how they could police it to be honest.

welcome home blueboy, try to get to some of the games though, better atmospere there than in a pub.

Pretty sure City have given cheap League Cup tickets to the Uni in previous seasons so might be worth checking if they are doing the same for the Villa match.

However you don't have to legally allow anyone in your house to check so there is no way of them knowing!

I do get to most games, just not Madrid tomorrow unfortunately!

On the TV license front, I brought one with me but the damn thing doesn't work. As far as I'm aware it's very difficult to police and a lot of people watch it without one.

I'm still waiting for the SU to give us some discounted MCFC tickets :(

They had tickets for a fair amount of games last season. Usually for the less sought after League Games and Cup matches - £15. It worth checking regularly as it all seems to be very short notice and even the person in charge for tickets at the SU sometimes does not know if/when they get any.
