I'd be embarrassed to be the lad involved. Obviously thought he was the hard man in front of his mates after a few beers giving it the big one. Then unexpectedly gets a bit back and goes running to the police/press like a big baby. He does look like a massive tit on the pics below

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2636276/Former-Manchester-United-manager-David-Moyes-quizzed-police-alleged-wine-bar-assault-night.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... night.html</a>

It's Moyes who should be embarrassed, not least for being a shit manager.
He's a 50 year old bloke ffs, he should have just walked away. Instead, he went back and hit him with a bottle.
I hope they throw the fucking book at him.
Fuck me. Never in my life did i think i would end up defending something Moyes had done but who's to say how much of this shit he's had since he was sacked. Quite a lot of it, i would imagine. He's probably had a gutfull and there's only so much a man can take.
I am not defending violence, only pointing out that nobody deserves to be abused in a sustained manner.

Yes you are. He was barracked, he wasn't physically assaulted but instead of giving him the verbals back or walking away he hit him with a bottle. That isn't self-defence, that is the actions of a violent man losing his temper and assaulting someone.

I'll rephrase that then, seeing as you don,t want to take it in the spirit that it is intended. Moyes shouldn't have hit him but at the same time he shouldn't have been subjected to abuse in front his friends on a private occasion.
Hope this helps.

If Moyes wasn't such a gobshite himself it might never have happened. I know plenty of blues who'd like to tell him what they think of him.
I'm not defending the lad he smacked either, he was a tool. What I am saying is that based on the information that has come out so far, Moyes acted disproportionately. If that bottle had smashed, things might have a been a lot more serious for both parties.
Hope that helps.

I hope he kicked fuck out who was taunting him.
I'll second that.

Don't like him in a football rivalry sense but everyone should be allowed to live their private lives in peace without people harassing them all the time.

The lad who Moyes (50) threw all around a fucking WINE BAR is a 23 year old joiner. Gobby **** doesn't even like football says his mam.

If you give it the 'big I am' don't be a soft **** when it bites you on the arse.

If he and others probably hadn't given him shit he wouldn't have felt the need to hit him. If you haven't noticed, i don't like lairy gobshites that impinge on other peoples lives for their own enjoyment. So for me, the reaction he got while not being ideal, was entirely understandable under the cicumstances.

Make your mind up, you wanted the "lairy gobshite" to have the shit kicked out of him earlier in the thread. It sounds like you very much think it was ideal.
