Mr. Bellamy

And why should he? would you?
Emmmm yeah? If all i wanted to do in life was play football then i would be happier picking up 35k and playing most weeks than playing with kids and reserves for 90k. He's in his latter years and should want to play most weeks, regardless of the money he may or may not make. The fact he said he wouldn't take a drop in wages because of his charity doesn't wash with me, the guys a first class prick.

Why don't we say to him, "ok Craig, here's the deal. You won't go to another club and play regular football for £35k a week because you won't be able to contribute enough money to your important charity. So, how about this ... we sell you to the club that can pay you £35k a week ... and donate 50% of the transfer fee to your charity?"

That would answer how important his charity is.

now he wants to knuckle down ? i just don't think mancini will allow him to disrupt them team again

I`ve said it before and I`ll keep on saying it !!
Bellamy slagged off our manager and now wants a reprieve, because Bobby has proven him wrong.
Irrespective of what he thinks he can do,the one thing he can`t do,is keep his fucking gob shut !!
Been proven before that he`s a disruption and not worth the effort.Bobby and Co.have spent the last 18 months trying to get a great team spirit.Look at the FA Cup !!
That said it all, even though we still have one other in the camp.
However at least Tevez only uses that twat Kia to spout the bile.

Or just tell the greedy bastard to fuck off. Your idea would be good but i'd like to know what exactly he's buying and providing in Africa that means he needs 90k a week to fund it. The economy in Africa means he could provide for about 20 kids on a couple of grand a week max, the fact he's used it as an excuse not to take a drop in wages astounds me. He's an arsehole.

Thought he was better than just a pure money grabber,

He is, he should be in our first team ahead of Mario. Bellamy gives more to the team than Mario ever will. hope Bobby can make up with him

Wait on just a minute there sport, I've been going home and away for over 15 years and I want this man as far away form our squad as he can be.
What people seem to forget with this evil little toss pot is that A, he isn't actually very good and is certainly not consistent. But more importantly B, he has never ever in his whole career been happy for more than 6 months. No he can't be a squad player, he has never ever been happy with that anywhere, he will not sit on the bench happily and support others, he will never be happy with players he deems to put less effort in than him, playing, player with less of a headless chicken approach. Bellamy's absence from anything Manchester City is the only way forward.

People's obsession with a 32 year old crock with NO history of success in football is simply baffling. I wouldn't be surprised to see us release him.
If anyone can cite me an example of when 'Bellers' has sat quietly on a bench, conformed to club policies and adhered to a teams tactics I'll change my opinions on him.
If he we to be a useful as those wishful thinkers think he may be, answer me just one question, why does no team in a position similar to us want him? Why does no team in the Premiership want him? If he were as good as some think, surely they'd be a couple of teams who'd stump up the wages for him After all there is likely to be no transfer fee. If he had the ability or was worth the trouble surely they'd be a side in the Premiership or somewhere willing to give him 22k per week over 2 years and a £2.5 million signing on fee. That's mathematically how cheap he could be, and nobody wants him.

I agree, and by removing the charity from the equation/his reasons we'll find out just how charitable Bellamy really is. Plus, what happens when he retires? Craig Bellamy Foundation goes bye bye? He'll find the money from somewhere, which is what he can do now.

Thats enough about Balotelli, what do you think of Bellamy?

The club knew when they offered the contracts out that this was a risk. I'm on Bellamys side here. He came to us when we were getting "snubbed" by all and sundry. Same for Adebayor, Bridge and one or two others. If i'd have moved to a smaller business for loads of money to help them grow I'd be severely pissed off if after a bit of success they turned round and said "we dont need you now and you earn to much too, can you fuck off to another, less successful company on half the wages" - I'd tell em to pay my contract up or i'm going fucking nowhere!

We should slap him on the free transfer market like Newcastle have done with Barton

Wasn't aware Bellamy had achieved an FA Cup winners medal to go along with his FA Cup final MOM award at just 20!

-- Mon Aug 01, 2011 5:46 pm --

If you refused at said fictional company to take part in staff training and then you publicly questioned you're bosses ability to achieve company goals you would soon find yourself fired.
Bellamy was given a contract by a different manager a manager how would move heaven and earth to get him hence the obscene wages. To use your company analogy again, if you were employed by your old boss to test drive sports cars, inspect world class hotels and test out the latest line in Russian and then a new boss came in and your new job title was canteen pot wash, would you not leave and take a job similar to your old one but on less cash, I know I would.

He had a good half year here, not sure he has anything to offer on or off the field now.

We've moved on, whether he does or not depends on his morals/motivation etc.

For me, I'd take every opportunity I could to play football as much as possible before retirement. At £35k a week it's not like I'd be struggling to buy shoes for my kids.

loan him back to cardiff, or agree a settlement on the last year of his contract & say goodbye..leaving him a free agent to go wherever he wants to go (cardiff probably).

Pay him his contract up and tell him to get the fuck out of here only 4m.
I was just thinking this while I was reading the thread.
If Mancini really wants him gone we may do this the question is how would it sit with FFP - could it be written off?
