Mr. Jack Rodwell

didn't think he would do as well as he has done so far... hopefully he'll continue to get games when barry and garcia come back

with consistency and regular football he'll find himself in the england squad in no time, given that the midfield options consist of lampard, gerard, barry and parker.

also nice to see razak to get a few minutes, this will give him some confidence ahead of future appearances

Excellent start for a young lad, I'm really surprised at the game time he's getting. I had thought that Milner might get in to cover CM in Barry's absence but if Rodwell continues like this then Barry might be fighting for a spot himself. Couple of errors aside he's doing great, seems calm and collected well above his years.

Quality player he is so classy on the ball reminds me very much of vinny with his composure. we got ourselves a star with this kid..

hoping he doesnt get suddenly dropped to the bench. hopefully he will play a good number of games

great game from this guy today , being so joung and just arrived at the club you can dream what can become in a couple of years

He is looking promising, just a slight negative was the one where he went on a good run but he did not get his end product quite right.

He looks so constrained sometimes. Hope Vinny has a word with him- just shoot!

Yep one for our coaching staff to look at as well.

Against Southampton he looked nervous and just wanted to blend in, and not do anything stupid, he managed to mess up with the second goal, but did ok. Today after a couple of weeks getting to know the rest of the lads, he seemed much more confident but still a bit in awe of the other guys, IMO given a few games here and there and time spent with the squad he will come out of his shell and prove to be a City legend for many years. I just hope he can learn off the other boys, he's only a kid but big and strong and seemed to play the defensive Yaya role very well. Obviously he's not as versatile and couldn't push up at the drop of a hat like Yaya, but who can? Give him a few months and he'll be 1 of the first names on the teamsheet!

It will surely take Garcia a couple of games to get adjusted to the English game? And coming back from a groin injury like Barry can take a while in terms of getting back to match fitness. Rodwell will get plenty of games.

Looked very composed on the ball again today, doesn't tend to panic when players are running at him, I think he will get pushed aside when Barry is back but I think he will be the guy to take Barry's spot when he is finished, a lot of talent for 12m!

Looks a very good footballer and has started very confidently in his first 3 matches at the club. Although he doesn't possess the same solidity as De Jong and Barry, he's a very composed and neat footballer who opens the play out in the middle.

Against Southampton he performed very nicely, passed the ball well and although he made the mistake for their 1st goal that won't cover the nice bits of play from him during the 90 minutes. We were struggling to get control of the midfield at Anfield, but when Mancini brought Rodwell on Nasri (which at the time I thought was madness) we seemed to get control of the midfield. We had Rodwell alongside De Jong with Yaya Toure in the advanced role. Yaya Toure offered more than Nasri in that role which left Rodwell and De Jong the power to dictate the passing in the middle. When Rodwell came on Liverpool brought Carroll on to nullify our midfield and play the long ball to Carroll in an attempt to restrict the possession of Silva, Rodwell and Toure. I thought he came on, looked comfortable on the ball and settled us down in the middle of the park.
Today, he was excellent. His distribution was brilliant, he reads the game quite well and he seemed to make alot of nice interceptions. He obviously has talent and his ability to get out of situations with either foot has really impressed me. Rodwell- 12 million, Jones- 18 million. I Know which player I'd rather have.

Very talented young player.

Dont understand the Rodwell love in - yes he looks pretty good but simple fact is that we have been conceding goals because the 2 DM's have not been controlling the mid field

When Yaya goes forward we look far to open

Javi will partner Yaya for CL and the must win games against the top 6 teams

Rodwell aint there yet and still has to prove he can deliver at level

thought he was garbage today . his positional sence was all over the place.no coincedence that we`ve started leaking goals since he arrived.

What? Did you actually see the game. Our defensive lapses were not Jack Rodwells fault. The rest of the midfield didn't track back for a start and the left side of our defence went walk about.
