Mr. Jack Rodwell

... now i want Rodwell to partner Garcia, with Yaya playing behind Tevez and Dzeko on the bench. Rodwell was brilliant today.
Why would you want Yaya, Tevez and Dzeko on the bench?

-- Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:28 am --

thought he was garbage today . his positional sence was all over the place.no coincedence that we`ve started leaking goals since he arrived.
Raggedy rag.

Ever since watching Colin through his time with City, although a different game and style of play these days, Barry is the nearest thing to him I have seen in a City shirtjust does not have his pace but runs and see's the game like Colin did, interested to see what other people think, that idolized the King like i did, I honestly feel a fit Barry is one of the 1st on the team sheet.

He has little of Bell's football talent but I agree, he has his ability to spot danger etc but I think you should have posted it in the Barry thread ;)

Thought he had a decent game yesterday and looked a lot more ositivewhen he had the ball, and even got into their box once or twice, hopefully he is here to improve his game

As others have said def a positive yesterday
And I think he is only going to get better with plenty of game time
Price tag could turn out to be a great bit of business.

Good game today, strong in the tackle and on the ball.
Thought he picked the wrong pass (safer) option a couple of times when attacking. Confidence to have a go himself.
Good signing and even though early days not the waste of money the blue scouse seem to think. If he continues to get the chance......

Wanted and asked for the ball when it went 1-1 he is no hider

Exactly, and also he's looking to push the play forward whenever possible.
Really happy with what I've seen so far and feeling very positive about his future.

Barry best be prepared to fight for his spot cause Rodwell is the man.

He's doing alright. Loads of potential.

Gotta laugh at him making a perfect tackle yesterday and getting booked for it.

(I think it was Rodwell anyway)

Regular football is the key to his developement. If Mancini keeps throwing him out there he will be immense next year, as good as Kompany. Vinnie was only just above the same sort of stage as J-Rod when he arrived at City, regular top class football turned him into the beast he is now, Jack can develop like that as well.

I was also impressed, looked strong as fuck on the ball. Also worked hard to win it back when we werent in possession. I think, with the right training, he'd be a quality centre back. More of the same please.

I was very happy when we signed him, because I've rated him for ages. All the raw materials are there for Mancini to turn him into a top drawer player.

cant wait for when he has a bad game and there is threads made on how shite he is ;0

This lad looks absolutely top quality. Good on the ball, and puts himself about. Has all the makings to be the all round midfield player. He can sit or he can go forward. Yesterday he pushed the play forward for us and helped drive us on. But I think at times that is why we were a bit open. Usually we have De Jong or Barry playing with Yaya. Normally, Yaya goes forward and NDJ or Barry sits and holds. This time Rodwell goes with him at times, and if we lose the ball, we're susceptible on the counter. But no doubt in my mind that this lad is top notch, and will be giving the likes of Barry and Garcia a run for their money.
