But BAM, the construction firm building the complex, say they ban all football shirts at all of their sites around the world. And they deny that workers were discriminated against because the shirts they were wearing were those of the Blues’ fiercest rivals.

I remember reading an interview he did and he claimed that City always beat them so he felt sorry for the rags and started supporting them. In the Mirror now with the "Embarrassed Manchester City..." headline. Daily Hate Mail and co. to follow I'm sure. The MEN has 'fed' several stories like this to the nationals lately... so much for supporting the local teams! Stopped buying the paper and will never buy it again as long as it's like this. If I went and picked up the Liverpool Echo I would not expect to see regular articles against Liverpool and Everton.
