Last seasons City coverage was excellent and Brennan was far and away the best matchday reporter in the country.

James is a Red, of the worst kind - a Congleton Red!! He rarely gets involved in City stories - the number two when I'm off is Rob Dawson - but will do so depending on staffing. When you say "non-stories", to what are you referring? We write a lot of comment/opinion pieces these days, not intended to inform, but to make the reader think and stimulate debate. Even at a club the size of City, there are days, especially in summer, when nothing happens. In the days of Peter Gardner and David Meek, the MEN simply carried no news about City or United, and filled with cricket and other sports. These days we commit to carrying at least one or two articles on City and United every night.

On the topic, i can't say i have any issue with the evening news as a media outlet.
That said, i mainly just click what gets posted here or read The Times.
I do have an issue with the Steven Howard's of this world though, lazy, vapid opinion with no substance of note at all.
Next time you see him, piss in his brew for me, cheers :)

i never read the muen so i truly haven't kept up with the stories in this thread. the paper has changed, it was always a decent paper for the manchester area. what hasn't changed is its rag bias. i dont know how old mr brennan is or how long he's worked there but 45 years ago when city were top dogs the muen was a disgrace in its protection of the scum. that will have been sympathy following munich, now its pure greed and desperation to flog the shite rag it is to the plastic masses on line.
