Hi.

In Aberdeen you'd ask for a softy. And the chippies are called chippers.

I've heard tits referred to as chippers before. Softy my arse.

It's a muffin and that's the end of it.
 
I travel around a fair bit and I can probably list at least a dozen different words for bread roll from around the country.

I have to say that muffin is not one I've come across.

So of the two, barm is the one I'd go for.
