Well in Mannings in Rammy, which is in Bridge street, not only can you get muffins but teacakes and these don't have fucking currants in.

Muffins and plain teacakes but seeing as this thread is all about barms or muffins it is muffins.

Check wikipedia for "Muffin" and then check wikipedia for "Barm"

There is also the "English Muffin" that's often served toasted and buttered. I could see our Chairman eating those.
