Like last time, it was fucking stupid. Deafeningly loud and killed the spontaneous atmosphere. Some of us would rather sing "Blue Moon" than jump up about with our hand in the air to One Step Beyond. And that cheesy Euro-techno version of our songs was like something they play at an under 8s birthday party.

After the trophy was presented we gave it a few minutes and fucked off to City Square to celebrate properly.

As WAS The Best by Tina Turner.. I imagine they don't play that anymore either.

The Quo have United links (as they're Londoners I imagine they're rags anyway) as if you remember that shite song 'Come On You Reds' in the 90s was actually a re-hashed version of Quo's 'Burning Bridges'.. best we steer well clear! BUT if Zab likes 'em, fair play!

Rossi & Parffit are QPR fans, they did that horrible "Come On You Reds" for the money.

Surely they didn't need it?

Sound quality was crap and choice of music was sometimes a bit confusing.
Its not like we are struggling to find a band from Manchester that the fans enjoy the music from.

Sound quality was crap

Quite agree. I sit in the East Stand ,level 3 (304), and we definitely need a new PA system. The sound was sometimes OK, the rest of the time very tinny & scratchy. Mind you, I'm still recovering from listening to Led Zep, Deep Purple, Hawkwind, Sabbath, etc, in the 70s. My ears stopped bleeding 2 years ago.
