Been trying out Mastodon recently on the advice of a work friend. Some decent stuff.

I liked the harder bands of the grunge scene, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.

Judas Priest, Dio and AC/DC are amongst the stuff I most listen to but I'm gonna delve deeper.

I like the odd but of foreign metal, E-Nomine, Turmion Katilot, Blutangel, Ramestein etc

I love Disturbed aswell.

Off to see Down again next month......love the likes of Ministry,Superjoint Ritual and Corrosion Of Conformity...in fact there are too many to mention.

Been listening to a lot of 'Southern' metal (they've labelled it Red Dirt metal apparently)...bands like Redneck Remedy and Sign of the Southern Cross (who sound a little too like Pantera but i like it anyway).

And i know it's not metal as such but i can't go a day without whacking some stoner stuff on.So many great bands.

I never heard of soil they seem decent, i am familiar with grunge though: alice in chains, nirvana, soundgarden and pearl jam.
