Les Mis, saw it a few times but would love to check it out in the West End one day. Love musicals and I thank my father for exposing us to theatre, opera, ballet & symphonic performances from a young age - the arts can be wonderful
I can’t stand musicals (especially stage ones). The faux happiness and overly unnecessary actions make me nauseous. Singing about being late for a bus or not answering the door in time to collect your takeaway. No thanks
Wife's Birthday next week so off to the Pool for a long weekend of fun mirth and merriment. The highlight alongside her surprise present of a satin lace up Basque set and large box of luxury Ferrari Rocher, will be a night at the Musical.
Nothing encapsulates more than a sophisticated evening of theatre, that's full of charm joy de vivre and panache.
This musical is all about Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton is the most successful female country singer of all time and has won 11 Grammy Awards and received 54 Gramma nominations. As a country music artist, Dollys achieved more number one hits than any other female icon.
In this feel-good story, a diehard fan seeks comfort in hard times. He unexpectedly finds reassurance in a fantasy version of the country music queen. Through wit, humour, and music, Dolly then teaches some heartwarming lessons about love and life. The show is bursting with hits from start to finish. You will recognise iconic tracks including, "Jolene", "9 to 5", and "Islands in the Stream". "I Will Always Love You", and of course "Here You Come Again"
"Here You Come Again" was originally written by two–time Emmy award winner, Bruce Vilanch. Director Gabriel Barre and Tricia Paoluccio, who plays Dolly, also collaborated alongside. It has now been adapted by acclaimed English playwright, Jonathan Harvey (''Coronation Street').

Its nothing like getting started off by Simon Cowell though. Anyone he sees is real genuine talentThe old musicals are fantastic.
Talented stars who could act, dance AND sing; Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Donald OConnor, Frank Sinatra etc etc
Even James Cagney could dance quite well, started in vaudeville.
Obviously ;-)Its nothing like getting started off by Simon Cowell though. Anyone he sees is real genuine talent
Almost sounds like being at City.Just took my daughter to see Miss Saigon at the Palace as my missus couldn’t take her as double booked. Seem it before many years ago but still enjoyed it. They are so talented
What did surprise me after many years away from it was the number of people who are getting shitfaced on bottles of wine while the show is on and with someone getting up for a piss every 5 mins. Dont remember that being the case years ago.
You want the "Who used to be a DJ in the 70's" thread mate.So this is where all the nonces on here hang out.
Mack 'n MabelRecently been to see lion king and just booked tickets for phantom of the opera.
I love a good musical.
Can anyone recommend any good musicals that are must see?
There's gotta be more nonces named after chocolate bars than there are nonces on here who like musicals. So this is where all the nonces on here hang out.
