John & Yoko: above us only sky C4 last night.

Superb informal footage of JL and friends Harrison, Clapton, Phil Spector jammin around his Ascot pile during the making of Imagine album. Not a bad lad for a dipper.

Having recently got a new TV (old lcd screen went crrekkkkkkk!), discovered the joys of having a smart TV. Amazon prime app, there’s loads of decent documentaries and ‘based on a true story’ films, I’ve watched recently.

The Founder - about Ted Croc, who franchised the original McDonalds and eventually wiped them out
The Program - Lance Armstrong’s doping story
Lord Of War - About an arms dealer called Orlov’s rise from nothing to global
War Dogs - How 2 drop outs ended up as arms dealers and ended up with a 300m dollar deal to supply
He wont’t get far on foot - about a drunken guy, who gets his spine smashed in a car crash, and his eventual rebirth as a cartoonist
The real Inglorious Basterds - as the title says, about Jewish guys going into Nazi Germany
Salyut 7 - soviet equivalent of Apollo 13
The social network - mark zuckerberg and facebook
.. and loads more

Fascinating documentary about Eva Peron on the 40th anniversary of the musical 'Evita':

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bt4bq6/evita-the-making-of-a-superstar?suggid=b0bt4bq6

She grew up in abject poverty, moved to Buenos Aires to become an actress, met the future President of Argentina, became first lady and was dead by the age of 33.

Worth watching for the statues of Eva Peron, Che Guevara, the Pope ...and Maradona, on the balconies of the houses in the Boca district of Buenos Aires.

Watched a cracking documentary today I'll never complain about the cold ever again.

Arctic Ghost Ship 2015 HMS Terror and Erebus Franklin Expedition Full PBS Nova Documentary
