Must see documentaries..

Sorry I dont know the name but it is a docudrama based on Chernobyl and it has ade edmundson as the leading scientist..I love to see it again

Seen a couple this week - there was a documentary festival on.

The act of killing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQhIRBxbchU
about the genocide in Indonesia in 1964-5. It follows some of the perpetrators who are still alive and they describe how they killed their victim and re-enact some of the killings.

The Gatekeepers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_UByKo6dfk
Interviews with six former leaders of Shin Bet, the Israeli security agency. It was nominated for an Oscar. Very interesting, I would really recommend it.

Neither very uplifting, though.

A couple I've watched/am watching.

Jiro Dreams Of Sushi- For Those Who Like Food Docus

The Staircase - For all those currently discussing the Pistorius case this is a great watch with many parrallels. It's a 6 part series filming both sides preparing for a murder trial of a husband who allegedly killed his wife. Many revelations come throughout it and it's amazing how much footage both sides allowed to be filmed. One of the best docus I've ever seen so far, I've just got to the start of the trial footage in Episode 4.

I'm sure my friend has seen The Staircase and thought it excellent. I'd forgotten she mentioned it but want to watch it now.

Definitely worth a look. It gets better towards the end too.

His death still upsets me now (I am 38)

Watched it again last night and it still got to me. The man was an absolute genius

A lot have said the ESPN 30 for 30 Docs and they are great
Being a hockey fan my favourite is Kings Ransom. About Wayne Gretzky being traded from Edmonton to L.A. and it completely changed the NHL. If fact the Canadian government went to court to try to stop it such was the shock and outrage in Canada
