Currently smashing our way through episodes of Air Crash Investigation as we're airborne within days .. no fun whatsoever unless you can petrify yourself into an early grave with the take off, the bit in the middle and the landing.
Last nights episode was a lack of fuel calculi from kilo to pounds on a Vancouver flight where that par excellent pilot Mr Gimli glided the plane down into a disused airfield that was having a drag racing family day out for cannooks and moose's.
After mending the crumpled wreck of Canada air 143 with filler and blowjob it went back into service and was aptly named Gimli's Glider.
We can pre guess most of them now as we have become experts in our chosen field .i.e. rudder issues, pilot error, pulling up in a stall situ etc. etc. and flying into lightening storms or Windshear
Remember .. In a stall u dive the plane you and do not pull back on the stick .. and don't turn off the wrong engine and make sure you extend flaps for take of .. very important and make sure you get enough sleep and don't chat up the flight attendant whilst running sterile cabin checks and under no circumstances alienate or bully the co pilot into submission so as that he doesn't want to tell you anything if your doing stuff wrong and remember at all times you have a live cargo in the back.
