Must see documentaries..

For those who enjoy documentaries and want something different from murder and war try Sky Arts 3 part series The Battle of the Irish Dancers. It focuses on 3 Dance Schools as they prepare their pupils for the the qualifying rounds for The World Championship and the final itself. It really is a story of dedication, hard work, sacrifice, friendship mixed with both triumph and despair. The young girls who are competing are credits to both their family and themselves.
It's amazing to see to what extent the competitions have moved on and now have a touch of American pageants. Give it a try.

Sure I've mentioned it before, but fuck it. The World at War; unquestionably, the greatest documentary series ever made. Attenborough is the daddy as far as widlife/natural history programmes are concerned, but even he pales into comparison beside TWAW.
The Vietnam series is also very very good

Watched a programme on bbc4 last night "The Magic of Mushrooms", it should be on iPlayer somewhere.

A really fascinating insight into the things you eat with your steak, and a whole lot you really shouldn't, including the fastest living thing on the planet (to scale - it pulls over 20g).

Really recomend it if in the slightest bit interested in all things funghi.

Watched The Sign Stealer on Netflix this morning. The way the NCAA went after Michigan uni reminded me a lot of City's current fight with the PL. They were basically suspending coaches from Michigan for breaking rules without any concrete evidence and in some instances there didn't appear to be in place a rule in place.
