I remember reading about Dr George Daniels death and found his story deeply interesting.
If you like engineering/watches/great men you should watch this.
What a wonderful man he was, seems he had the same drive and excitement in his final days as he had when he started. He had so much to master not just be good at, amazing really.
 
Dark Days

It's about a British film maker who goes to live with the homeless in New York for a year..they erected shanty towns in the subway system..built little shed houses out of any materials they could scavenge

A must see IMO

Village at the End of the World is worth watching.

It's about a tiny fishing community living in Greenland, and how they are struggling to survive in the modern world.

Despite their almost complete isolation and resistance to modernity, you still get a few wearing United and Liverpool shirts though!

BlackFIsh was awesome documentary, about SeaWorld, and basically how they lie to the public and mistreat the animals.

Sounds horrific tbh mate..but some people like that stuff, i personally cannot watch anything along those lines, even switch the tele over if ANY animal cruelty adverts come on, even animal sos or vet programmes and the like:(

It doesn't show you anything as such but interviews with experts about the treatment and the lies seaworld staff tell tourists. Honest it is really interesting, but if it's not your taste then its not your taste.

Yeah mate i couldnt even listen to the knuts..its amazing what goes on isnt it ..I see your location and reminded me of that circus just off the Lancs..yes the argument could be that the animals are treated well etc etc but you hear such stories..i just avoid the lot of it so am not remotely anywhere near any of it...Top thread this though matey:)

Ha I didn't start this thread, but ill take credit haha

Yeah they were mistreating elephants at that circus I think.
Back on seaworld though, you may have seen in the news that SeaWorld are scalling back the orca show's. I think this is to kind of show they have listened to the public. They are a bunch of cunts running that business though
