Documentary which follows events at Israel's most notorious football club. Beitar Jerusalem FC is the most popular team in Israel and the only club in the Premier League never to sign an Arab player. Midway through a season the club's owner, Russian-Israeli oligarch Arcadi Gaydamak, brought in two Muslim players from Chechnya in a secretive transfer deal that triggered the most racist campaign in Israeli sport and sent the club spiralling out of control.

Forever Pure follows the famous football club through the tumultuous season, as power, money and politics fuel a crisis and shows how racism is destroying both the team and society from within.

This is well worth a watch even if you have little interest in Israel/politics. Quite the eye opener and very well filmed.

A really good film showing the power of football and religion.

What a bunch of cunts the Beitar fans are by the way, and that snide player Orif.

The fans were falling over themselves to say how it was only a certain fans group against it but when they called a boycott they all abided by it. That would have been a great opportunity to come out and support the club against "La familia". The highlight of the film for me was the old Argentine CB who raised some very good points and the clip of him taking the piss with the kipper as if to say to the two young Russians that there is nothing special about religion is great - He said "I get on with everybody because I don't give a shit about religion" nicely summed up and the quote of the film.

I think Kriaf with his links to "La Familia" was put in a very tough position but he should have shown far more loyalty than he did.

Sad that Arizona & New Hampshire would vote against having a public holiday for Martin Luther King, never knew that. Great band though.
 
White Vs Black - How Football Changed a Nation

Brilliant, I'm not a fan of Chiles but he absolutely nails this. His love of football, W/Brom and his reaction toward former players is just how any real fan would be, but with a portrait of Britain in the 70/80's as the focus. A must see for any football fan.

A documentary on Falun Gong, how the CPC outlawed it, Tiananmen Square massacre, and organ harvesting.

I use Falun Gong now for mediation and enjoy the continued learning of control and slow movements to help me become a calmer and more thought out person.
