My bloody gardener has resigned. Advice wanted.

Ahhh you're talking about the dreamy vision of camping, where everything is perfect...nice and clean and laid back, in fact you should write sales brochures for a living :)

Tried it once in Wales.
Woke up first morning after 4 hours sleep due to sleeping bag feeling damp, couldn't get comfortable. Got up, pissing it down, everything wet/damp grass was squelchy. Went to toilets, somebody had done a massive dump and stunk the fucking place out, still I had to sit there as I couldn't wait.....Didn't know where fuck anything was, fucking freezing. Tried to cook some scrambled eggs, all stuck to pan, pan was fucked etc etc..
Even just packing the car was a complete ball ache. I'd rather have root canal work than try that bollocks again :)
:) I had a similar experience, only I did the shit. Sorry about that.

It’s all about the gear, you should not be damp. I do like in a tent in the rain, emphasis on the rain being outside the tent and providing a soothing, multi patter ambience, rarely matched in even the most spacious of B&B’s.

Plus, you went once, here’s a tip, no charge. Try going to a beautiful place, far from the encroachment of unwelcome urban light, try it during a spell of good weather, that works, and are you actually mental not taking a non stick pan?

Next you’ll be telling me you didn’t have an ice bucket for the fizz. Root canal work is not as bad as people think either.

Might be an idea to let us know what advice the gardener gave you, before telling you to stick the job up your arse?

That way, we won’t give you advice you’ve already had from him. Makes sense and will save time.
