The op stated his brother says it's only kids being kids which is a bit "right on man" the children no doubt are also misunderstood, and I would have thought The children of a right-wing family would have been more disciplined as isn't the right wing more to do with control and power where is the left is more about free will without rebuke...

I had a cousin like this. Every Xmas family gathering he'd be a little shit. One time he just came over to me a spat on my city shirt badge (he and his dad were gooners). Another time he squished a mince pie in his hands and rubbed it into another family members hair. It was pretty funny but it ended up with a big bust up and ruined the evening. I asked how and why a kid would do that. Had his dad told him to do it ? . Do you think your brother is gettin his son to do it for revenge on you kickin his arse when you were kids ? .

We thought my cousin would be a nightmare when he got older but he's now a very pleasant lad. Maybe he just grew out if it or got put in his place once he got to 'big school'. If your brothers lad doesn't sort it out soon, he could learn the hard and painful way .

His wife doesn't sound very "right on man" to me. And the brother sounds like he doesn't care much for anyone but himself, much like the right.

I think someone early in the thread said make sure the family is on board with how you feel couldn't agree more.........Had the same situation with my brother and his children one day I had enough and decided to tell him he didn't like it and the fallout was not pleasant, Half the family agreed with me whilst the other half thought I overreacted and we ended up not even speaking to each other for about a year.

We're fine now get along better then ever and his children are much better behaved whether that was because of our disagreement who knows.
