My Wife / Hospice tonight / Your bucket list

Sorry to hear what's going with your wife Ant, I hope things turn around for both of you.........all the best

Among all the crap on here, there's occasionally something that really touches you so deeply. I've only briefly experienced that feeling of hope being extinguished and facing the certainty that someone you love is going to die and it's horrible. You'll face that in your own way and you'll get through it, even if you don't ever quite get over it.

For me, I think I've been a good son to my parents and made them proud of me and I've two kids I love and am proud of myself. I don't see enough of the good friends I have so I'm going to try to remedy that and, if I do, that's probably enough for me. If you forced me to come up with something though, I'd love to do a road trip across the USA with my kids.

Beautifully put PB.

What a beautiful photograph. Your son looks so like his mum and you must both be so proud of him. You are all so lucky to have each other. You are in our thoughts at such a difficult time. Best wishes.

Not one to post too often but am at home thinking about my wife/ Life / and all that it entails
She has just been admitted to a hospice in Wellington NZ.(no good outcome from here we are told)
We have battled this thing for 7 years
I feel quite low tonight , Just come home and opened a bottle of Chivas Regal she bought me for my birthday last week

We ticked off a few bucket list things for her in the last 2 months....

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, swimming in a pool 55 stories up.. Awesome
letting our son do his flying lesson on his 13th Birthday.. Awesome
Getting her adn my sons NZ citizenship together last month ... Awesome (they did push a few things thru for her)
Her doing a jet ski adventure in the Gold Coast ....Awesome
Helicopter ride over the Gold Coast.... Awesome

My Question is what are your bucket list things..
and why do we wait till we are told not long left before we do these things?
Im not sure I hav any bucket list things , does that make me odd?

Feel very sorry for you Ant.

My list would entail some nostalgia

Id like to go camping on the farm campsite I used to go with my parents in Cheddar Gorge

Id like to drive from Los Angeles up to Vancouver in Canada stopping of at various points

Id like to play a gig at a huge venue like Sydney Opera house (not likely)

Id like to spend some time in a recording studio (never been in one)
