My Wife / Hospice tonight / Your bucket list

Ant said:
Not one to post too often but am at home thinking about my wife/ Life / and all that it entails
She has just been admitted to a hospice in Wellington NZ.(no good outcome from here we are told)
We have battled this thing for 7 years
I feel quite low tonight , Just come home and opened a bottle of Chivas Regal she bought me for my birthday last week

We ticked off a few bucket list things for her in the last 2 months....

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, swimming in a pool 55 stories up.. Awesome
letting our son do his flying lesson on his 13th Birthday.. Awesome
Getting her adn my sons NZ citizenship together last month ... Awesome (they did push a few things thru for her)
Her doing a jet ski adventure in the Gold Coast ....Awesome
Helicopter ride over the Gold Coast.... Awesome

My Question is what are your bucket list things..
and why do we wait till we are told not long left before we do these things?
Im not sure I hav any bucket list things , does that make me odd?

Good luck to you Ant and to your missus.

Good luck Ant. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.

Hi Ant.Sorry to hear about your terrible news and I honestly can`t add much more than our fellow Blues have added, mate.
Wow,great to see you managed to accomplish some of the "bucket list" wishes so good for you and the family.
My list would be a trip into the Amazon but asking David Attenborough to come with me and show me the delights of the forest.
Stay strong Blue.

Not coping at all.
if onl y you could see me right now
i have never felt so upset ever
My woman is my whole world . she is the invisible glue that holds our family together .

My wife is our family glue mate, anything happened to her and it would be devastation. I feel for you.

You will now be the glue, you Dont think you are but you are now your wife's glue, she'll know that when she is no longer able that you'll step right in and take over. The boy will is at your side in all this and together, in time, get through it.

So i went to visit her today and she asked me about the result from todays game.... Once a blue.. always a blue. Didnt have the heart to say she was a day too early said we won..... (Last game we saw live together was againt Newcastle in 2004 ,)
She is our glue and she is my best friend in everything we do as a family..
im grateful for the messages , just please all you Blues realise how important your woman / man / significant other is...
Just do the right thing as you never know when it will be ripped rom you.
From myself and my son Mason Thankyou all x

so sorry to hear about your wife`s fight against this awful illness, only when something like this happens do you realise how fragile our health is.

i wish you and your family all the best wishes.

Let's hope city can give you a good result today. All the shit we have to deal with means nothing when compared with what you and your son have had to deal with. Our thoughts are with you.

To be honest Ant, reading your post and what you're all going through, the last thing on my mind was to think of things for a bucket list, so just want to wish you all the best and hope you all find some way of coming to terms with all that's happened and going on, stay strong Blue.

Christ, what a dreadful thing to be going through. Your comment about your wife being the glue that holds everything together holds for my missus as well. I hope I never go through anything like this, and can't even imagine what you're going through.

Hey, you'd best hope we win today, otherwise if she finds out she'll throttle you!
