My YouTube channel - Episode 48 (P26)

I Noticed the Bon Jovi reference straight away, it's strange that a bridge that young was built considering most are over a century old, nice to see a bridge that I am considerably older than.

Is this the first bridge with a dedicated walkway? Did you not consider doing the Grand National over the neighbours fence to gain access? That accent might scare a yankee doodle and end up getting you tased and attacked by a fucking Cane Corsa :)

Or on further inspection a Cujo like Duck.

I don't know what it is but the montage of bridge still pictures is an iconic part of these videos. It's a bit annoying that the glass over the plaque is broken by a needless vandal.

Great effort with the wading in this video, always good to see a bit of dedication to the art.

Sounds like a decent judge :)
I mention in my opening bit, it being the 2nd bridge I've been to with the side footpath ;) (episode 2, my local bridge!)

I didn't knock on any doors, but walked to the end of the row of houses and simply scrambled down the grass bank so it was a bit of a trek up stream (and deep!) to get to the bridge.
Coming back, if you look where I look down from the bridge and say "but it is accessible from this side" and the camera looks down the bank next to the bridge, I simply shot up there as quick as I could. I doubt the owners own the bank and I probably put 3 foot prints on their land and I was back on the bridge.

It is the same issue I have that comes up again in episode 27 two weeks today. There is a foot path right down to 5 feet from the edge of the river and then a chain with a sign saying private land no trespassing. With me having the Vermont Covered Bridge Society and the logos of two community TV stations all over the video I can't be doing shit like that otherwise the society and TV stations will get a few emails / complaints. If it was my own totally independent show, I'd be saying "fuck it" and going for it.
By the way, episode 27 is (in my opinion) my best to date. An amazing bridge that is just so photogenic and with a road running both sides of the bridge it was accessible on all 4 sides. So much so, that for the first time in the "photo break in the middle" I have included 4 short video clips and then move onto the photos.
This bridge though, did defeat me. I was unable to get underneath it due to other access problems such as a large and fast flowing dam with a steep bank. After 26 bridges of being able to go underneath..... this one proved to be (pun intended) "a bridge too far."

Or was it ;)

Cutting a bridge in half so it can be shared, what an idea :)

Th underneath of that bridge has been patched up more than Peps back room staff, it's an incredible testament to people who care about them to keep them looking the way they do really.

Something odd seeing that bridge just sat there with nothing but mud underneath it, going nowhere and bringing nothing, at that [point it stopped being a bridge any more.

Keep 'em coming (You should really pin this thread ) :)

Thanks!
The next 2 - or 3 actually - episodes are amongst the best I’ve produced, mainly due to the bridges themselves.
Next weeks episode is one of the most well known and photographed bridges - with a great “Storm Irene” video included.
The following weeks episode is a double episode.
Why?
Stay tuned to find out….
