We're obviously people with extremely good taste! Bought her first album the day it was released and still have it.I thought I was the only Judee Sill fan on Bluemoon ! :)
*I would add Neil Diamond to my list as well.
Your lucky to have seen her. We're obviously people with extremely good taste! Bought her first album the day it was released and still have it.
Was lucky enough to see her in Manchester, supporting Roy Harper.
An incredible life story, prostitute, armed robber, jailbird etc.
For me,the most beautiful female voice in music, and that gothic guitar style unfathomably unique.
She has had a huge impact on my career.
God rest her soul.
Good shout with Roger Hodgson - forgot about him.Off the top-of-my-head:
Paul McCartney
Christine Perfect
David Gates
Roger Hodgson
Black Francis
Joe Walsh
The list could easily change day-by-day as there's so many great songwriters I admire.
The Kiss always reduces me to an emotional wreck, but in a nice way.Your lucky to have seen her.
I would've liked that.
The Kiss is just the most beautiful song.
RIP Judee
Good shout. Baxter Dury underappreciated. Sardonic live.I have to agree with Frank Black Francis.
I would currently add Baxter Dury as well.
I fell hard for Lone Justice in 85, great live, but there's been at least 4 eras of Maria. Life is Sweet (96) and her last record from 2 years back are my favourites. "Down To The Heart Of London" off the last record is astounding songwriting.Maria McKee is maybe the most underappreciated artist of all time. The stuff she did with Lone Justice is great and they look like a great live band too.
I haven't seen him live yet but hoping to at some point.Good shout. Baxter Dury underappreciated. Sardonic live.
