Reading posts on here and what people have told me, we're looking at 28k at best for Wednesday night I reckon.

Why though?

It's cheap enough and our first ever CL game...I'm not normally one to be arsed about who turns up to a game, but it will be embarrassing if we don't sell out for this.

Admit it, when the CL theme tune plays before the match and you're looking at masses of empty seats round you, you'll feel shite. I know I will.

FFS, how long have we waited for this? and now people can't be bothered turning up.

We have a lot of armchair fans now and plenty of people who are happy with watching in the pub nowadays...why?

Pay the Gas/Electric?
Mortgage?

Oh I just lost my job last night, hmmm let's go and splash £30 on a footy ticket....

To Note I will be going on Wed as myself I see the attraction but I don't have a mortgage or kids to pay for....

I can see the attraction of being an armchair fan, much cheaper.

be amazed fella if its only 28k-we get more for carling cup games.

If the CL cup scheme is now closed then surely season ticket holders have snapped up there seats? We have say 36-38k season ticket holders,surely we are looking at acrowd of over 40k?

In the group stage last season we got:
35212 against Juventus
33383 against Lech Poznań
37552 against Salzburg

Same time of year a few years ago in the League Cup we got:
36358 against Scunthorpe
46015 against Arsenal


28k, haha! I don't know what planet some people are on. I've just been on to get my Dad a ticket near to me and cant get a seat anywhere near me because the whole blocks are sold out and many others are "limited availability". I reckon after the weekend it will almost be sold out.

we should be allowed to purchase more than 1 ticket online per member if they are keeping this stupid 60 point rule

Wigan sold out and those tickets are more expensive. Even though it's a Wednesday, no doubt we'll have more than 28k.

Too early to be predicting the attendance. No point worrying about it yet but I agree that we need to be getting over 40k for this really. This is what it's all about
