Four of us got a taxi last time and had a drink in a bar next to the ground with VK's dad, lovely fella btw. No problems at all but the police went into panic mode when we asked where the away end was.
After the game we escaped the cordon and walked to a bar at the end of the road. That was a mistake. There were groups of teenagers outside waiting for the coaches I assume, we walked into the bar without them initially noticing us. As soon as we ordered our drinks we started to get some looks although nobody approached us, out of respect for the bar owner maybe. After we had finished our drink we asked the owner if he could phone us a taxi, he said we wouldn't be able to get a taxi from there but just said get another drink and he would take us home himself when we had finished. He did just that, closed the bar and personally dropped us off in the town. A very nice man.
I will be getting the escort back this time ;-)
