Napoli Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Too many poor performances tonight- defensively particularly.
De Jong had one of his worst games in a City Shirt. Toure can look so lazy at times. And Dzeko....the less said the better- as people have said, he often does this, and then pops up with a goal so we forget about it; the guy has NO touch whatsoever.

Aguero brought on far too late (must have been due to fitness, or lack of) but even when he came on he looked busy and creative.

Ultimately, I question the choice of full backs for this game, as will everyone. You would have thought we would have learnt from the first game. Mancini has not put a foot wrong in the league, but it's hard not to question that decision.
 
Once again, a weird team selection in Europe. Everyone knew we needed/wanted a win tonight but for some reason Bob decided to rest our first choice full backs. Now I understand the need for rotation but surely the opportunity was there on saturday to rest Micah and Gael against a limited (in terms of attacking prowess) Newcastle side. They could then have played tonight and, after 4 days rest, again on sunday before resting them next week at the Emirates. They would have offered a more attacking threat than either AK or Zab did tonight. And, had they helped us to a win tonight, they could have been rested for the final group game against Bayern. Also, why didn't Sergio come on until the last 10 minutes? Everyone could see that Ed was having a 'mare (indeed Mario wasn't that much better). Ah well; there's always next year.

Seriously its obvisous PL is our primary target. So it would be madnass to let Micah and Glichy play 3 games in ONE WEEK

This is not Mancinis fault, Yayas fault for the first goal, and De jong on the second.
 
The nice thing about the server problems is that most of my super angry time has passed. Not sure how my phone survived.

Zabs not good enough for CL, love his heart and effort but he's average defensively and very poor going forward. A useful player to have but should be playing against average Liverpool teams, not very good Napoli teams.

Kolarov I'm a fan of but was shocking tonight, De Jong poor also. Kompany/Lescott unsettled throughout.

However I thought Milner, Silva and Hart had very good games.

I'm just so mad! (still) Subs needed earlier as folks have said but UGHGKASFJSALFL

Let's put seven past the fucking dippers.
 
fcuk me i'm confused! so if we go out we can play kids in europa and focus on league? but what if scum go out? do they do the same? am i actually wanting scum to qualify? fcuk me i'm confused

should have played same team as 6-1 - that i'm not confused about
 
If we drop into the Europa (which looks horribly likely) just play the kids, all our attentions should be focused on winning the Premier League.

The second half performance was just poor. The substitutions came far too late, Kolarov and Dzeko had stinkers.
